2000 AMERICAN TRADITION 40′ 315HP CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL PUSHER MOTORHOME. TWO LARGE SLIDES.
EXCELLENT CONDITION!
Up for auction: 2000 American Tradition 40′ 315HP Diesel Pusher Class A Motorhome, by American Coach. Model is 40TDS, with kitchen/sofa slide-out, and rear bedroom/wardrobe slide out. Cummins 315HP Turbo Diesel engine, 6 Speed Electronic Allison Transmission, Exhaust Brake, and full Air Suspension and Air Brakes. Spartan Mountain Master Chassis. Overall in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. This is one of the best diesel coaches ever built. Fully self contained, including a washer/dryer combo. When new, this coach was over $300,000, and the average NADA value is still close to $70,000. Truely one of the nicest Diesel Pushers ever made, top quality craftsmenship throughout.

EXTERIOR

Exterior is in excellent condition. Sidewalls are clean and shiny and painted decals looks great. Obviously, with a used coach, you can expect some small nicks, scratches (this coach has VERY few, with a few scratches on some of the bin doors). Roof is in excellent condition. Tires have good tread, showing some minor signs of weather cracking. Glass is in good condition all around, no cracks in the windshield. Aluminum covered awning over passenger side, and 3 window awnings. Onan Quiet Diesel 7500 generator runs great, and is very quiet. 2000W Inverter/Converter. Full pass through storage bins, with slide trays. Rear ladder and hitch.

INTERIOR

Interior is also in excellent condition, again with some very minor wear and tear. At the cockpit, at the power leather driver seat: telescopic/tilt steering, cruise control, dash A/C (blows warms), exhaust brake, back-up camera, levelling jacks, etc. Entertainment systems include: AM/FM/Casette, 21″ TV in the living room (TV is on a power lift), 21″ TV in the bedroom, Satellite dish (auto-tracking dome), and TV Antenna. Both front seats swivel around to face living room. Living room has a leather sleeper sofa, coach sleeps 4 in total. In the kitchen,: 4 door Norcold fridge with ice-maker, 3 Burner Stove-Top, Oven, Convection microwave Oven, Hot Water Tank. Corian countertops and beautiful wood cabinets. Tile floor in Kitchen and bathroom area. Bathroom area is next, with a private room for the toilet and across the hall you will find the vanity and large corner glass shower. Washer/Dryer Combo unit found in hallway. At the rear of the coach, is the Queen size bedroom with walk-around bed, and lots of closet space. The entire unit has screens, and day/night shades. Dual ducted roof A/C’s, along with a gas furnace. So many more options, its impossible to list. The American Tradition is a beautiful machine.

minor flaws related to age and wear such as nicks, stone chips, dings,

stands tall in its appearance! The front tires have some weather dry crackes
both front tires could be replaced for around $1000-$1200. All the systems are
in good working order, such as water heater, washer / dryer, stoves, overhead
AC, dash AC, cruise control, exhaust brakes, air brakes, air horn etc. This
motor home runs and drives excellent! We do our best to describe our units in
detail especially with pictures. Items such as floor mats, key remotes, T.V.
remotes, extra keys and cd cartridges or owner's manual may be missing, if you
do not see it in the pictures then the chances are very high that those stuffs
are not there!

The
vehicle paid with "bank to bank" wire transfers can be picked up immediately
along with its title as soon as we verified with our bank. If paid with cashiers
check ( we don't like cashier's checks due to our bank's holding policies on out

I will consider trades. This beautiful top of the line bus has been very well maintained and serviced routinely since day one to ensure optimal performance at every aspect. Now about this item…

GENERALLY, the coach you are viewing is a REPO unit. This means that this is your chance to own a great USED coach for a very low price. This also means that there is usually TLC needed, since GENERALLY it is a REPO unit. So, please do not expect new or perfect or barely used, please expect a decent 14 year old motorhome.

This is coach approx 40′.

This coach is an American Eagle with a slide.

The odometer shows 3281 miles. From what we can tell, the odometer was changed in 2009. In 2007 Carfax reported 59216 miles. In June of 2009 Carfax reports not actual miles, So from 2009 until now, this RV was driven 3281 miles in the past 3 years. The question is, how many miles was it driven from 2007 until 2009, approx 2 years. If it was driven approx the same amount, 3k miles, that would be 6k miles since 2007, or approx 65216 miles is the approx miles. But, we do not know this for sure. The title is branded as not actual miles, NAM, or true miles unknown, TMU.

This coach is NOT nice as compared to a new unit. It is decent when compared to a new motorhome. To be 14 years old this coach is pretty nice.

This RV was just driven several hundred miles with no trouble.

This RV is pretty easy to drive. Only a regular driver’s license is required to drive this coach.

There are 2 roof AC units that both work.

The engine or dash AC does not blow cold air.

The 325hp Cummins 8.3 liter Turbo DIESEL engine runs as it should, no problems.

The Allison 6 speed automatic overdrive transmission shifts great also, no problems.

An Onan quiet diesel generator is in good working condition.

Please consider that it is 14 years.

This means the coach is not new so please do not expect new.

There is a fridge / freezer that works on LP gas or electric.

We did NOT check every single light, drawer, storage door latch etc. Hopefully, they are good. We feel that since this motorhome is a repo and we are selling for low profit we are NOT planning to check or go over everything. WE can not cover, repair, or go over it all and make very little or low profit. So, our theory is to sell a lot at very little profit. This is good for you because it gives you a chance to own a RV for a VERY LOW price.

Since we are usually selling RV’s for a low price, we feel that you can do some of the cleaning and repairs yourself or pay an RV store to do it for you. If you are willing to pay the Nada retail price we will be glad to it all for you.

As with any older RV, there is usually some delam or water damage.Sometimes we do not have all of the keys for each door, due to being a REPO.

If you are expecting a decent 14 year old coach that is USED this is it.

I generally state, just to cover myself, this coach does look better in pictures than in person. I guess the lighting makes the units look better.

There are no known roof leaks at this time.

Over the past 14 years I can not guarantee there has never been a leak, currently we have not seen any leaks.

This coach can sleep a total of 6.

There is room for two in the rear bed.

There are 2 sofas that convert to a beds for 2 kids each.

We liquidate our inventory and only do a basic mechanical check out. We sold over 350 units in 2008. We sold over 100 units in the 4th quarter alone!!! YES, we sold over 100 units in the supposedly worst economy ever. We are selling them because we are CHEAP. So we are unable to take enough time to completely check out every thing on each unit. We will make sure the engine, transmission, over head air conditioner, refrigerator, and the generator operate normally (if/when applicable). These are the items most people are concerned with. We will also preform a basic check on the drivetrain, which consist of a test drive to determine if the engine transmission and brakes seem to perform properly. We will repair what is necessary. The REST is up to you!!

We are usually selling older decent motorhomes at very low prices, we are not selling brand new or perfect units. We are offering a good quality unit at a very reasonable price that in some cases or often times most likely will need TLC.

This coach is DECENT when you consider the year, and compare it to a normally used coach. Its probably not nice, when you compare it to your neighbors never used always garaged RV.

The tires have good tread 22.5 inch wheels. The tires look decent, and some of the tires have 09 date codes. So, since you are most likely going to purchase this RV for a cheap price, just plan on purchasing 6 new tires to be safe. There is a local tire store that will install 6 new tires for approx $1900.

The carpet looks good as you can see in the pictures. There might be a stain or two but nothing to be concerned about.

This coach has a 50 amp power cord hook up from the factory.

Also, the ‘curtains’ or blinds are usually ’tattered’ and worn on these older units.

Generally, the coach you are viewing is a REPO unit. This means that this is your chance to own this great coach for a very low price. This also means that there is usually TLC needed. So, please do not expect new or perfect, please expect a decent 14 year old coach.

When an appoitment is made to pick up your item, Karolina Koaches will have your item ‘powered up’ so you can feel confident that the coach functions as described in this ebay ad. All that we require is a 48 hour notice so we can have your item ready for your arrival. The deposit is due PRIOR to pickup or within 24 hours, whichever comes first. If you fail to send the deposit prior to arrival we reserve the right to NOT sell the item to you. If we feel that you are trying to manipulate Karolina Koaches we reserve the right to NOT sell the item to you.

This is ebay, the prices are cheap, you do NOT get a retail experience because you are not paying retail price. If you do not follow our payment terms we reserve the right to NOT sell the item to you.

Future Buyers: The above item is being sold "as-is" with no guarantees written or implied unless you are purchaseing one of our new units which we will list in the desrpition as having a warranty. Unless we state warranty there is NO warranty. We ask all ebayers to view, and have the above unit inspected by a mechanic of your choice at your expense prior to the winning bid. The mechanic must inspect the unit at Karolina’s lot.

At Karolina Koaches we ask that you realize that you are purchasing a used Motorhome, 5th-Wheel or tow behind trailer, in many cases for a lot less than retail. Just like any pre-owned vehicle there will be some dings, nicks, chips, scratches, fading and or peeling of the stripes and graphics and of course some normal wear and tear.

We try our best to describe our units in detail. Small items such as remotes, TV or key fob, floor mats, extra keys and cd cartridges may be missing, even though no stated as missing.

The Buyer is responsible for a $295.00 dealer service fee (this helps to cover the costs such as pre vehicle, clean up, mailing, airport pick up, a 30 day SC temporary permit provided by Karolina Koaches, and any other related expenses.). For scheduling a pickup please allow a MINIMUM of 48 hours after the auction ends to pick up your coach, our reason why… we may already have others scheduled and no time to work you in for the necessary time required to cover the delivery of an item.

Please do NOT bid if you do not agree to these terms. If there is something that you do not agree or understand, please CALL or email us prior to bidding. Please do NOT bid if you are not pre-approved by your lending institution to complete the transaction. The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of the auction end either by phone or e-mail.

If we have NOT received the $500 NON- refundable deposit within the 24 hour timeframe, we will NOT sell the coach to the winning bidder.

If “eBay” has a documented outage within 2 hours of the auction end we reserve the right to not sell to the winning bidder (please note in 4 plus years this has only happened once).

Please be aware of the following:

NADA Book values, lengths of units, names, and model numbers are a point of reference only, it is the buyers responsibility to verify their purchase PRIOR to the departure of your item from Karolina Koaches. The balance is due within 5 days following the auction end or upon taking delivery, whichever comes first. If the balance is not paid in full in 5 days then an additional $250 will be charged, for item that was bid to less than $20,000.00, units bid $20,00.01 and higher the late payment fee is $450.00.

In addition to the above mention fees, the documentation fee is NOT discountable. Even though there are late payment penalties, Karolina reserve the right not to extend the payment terms. A late paid deposit is like paying late as well.. By paying on time there are no penalties.. please pay on time.

Please note that unit must be paid in full in order to have it delivered to you.

FAST PAY DISCOUNT: If vehicle is paid in full within 2 days of the auction end, we will discount the price $100. We also offer another $100 discount, please ask us!!

All buyers that reside out of the United Sates must pay by bank wire transfer or cash (in person) prior to the coach leaving our property. In some cases there may be a slight delay for title. When purchasing one of our items via eBay you agree that the venue for any legal proceedings will be in the County of Anderson South Carolina.

If you change your mind for any reason or decide to NOT purchase or try to return your item, we charge a 30% ‘restock’ing fee.

Our units are available for sale locally on our ‘lot’ and we reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time and sell the item prior to auction end.

The decorations will be removed upon receipt of the deposit. If you desire to have the decorations please notify us at the time of the deposit, otherwise you will NOT have any decorations.

For the following optional 2 services I can start a Ebay auction for you to purchase so we both can receive feedback. If you desire either service just let me know, I will start a ebay auction for the service described and you can purchase it through Ebay. OPTIONAL SERVICES: We offer for your convenience two services: *** 1) $495 Prep Service: This includes filling the fuel tank with Gasoline($595 for diesel), filling the LP tank and water tanks *** 2) $75 Coach Essentials Kit: This includes: sewer hose, sewer odor cup, holding tank deodorizers, RV toilet paper, A/C adapter cord, water regulator, and a fresh water hose.

MECHANICAL: We work on and repair most mechanical functions with our coaches. But, due to stringent State and Federal regulations, we are not set up to repair or maintain dash A/C units. Thus we do NOT guarantee that any dash A/C units work. ALL A/C components are "AS IS". Most do work, but we will NOT be responsible for repairing of maintaining dash A/C components.

Also, we do not guarantee the following (if installed) will operate: 1) satellite systems 2) security systems 3) non-factory add-ons 4) we cannot guarantee tire life or wear 5) cruise control 6) spare tires are optional and are NOT standard equipment.

ADVERTISING ERRORS: Please be aware that we are NOT PERFECT. We go to great lengths to make sure our ads are correct, BUT occasionally we do make a mistake. If you do not see it in the picture, then it probably is NOT an option on the vehicle. If you do not see floor mats, then the vehicle probably does not have them. If we do not mention a keyless entry, then we most likely do not have the keyless remote even though the vehicle might have had one when new. If you are unsure about an option, then please e-mail me and I will confirm if it has that option.

SHIPPING: All sales are "AS IS, WHERE IS" but we can gladly assist with shipping arrangements. Shipping is only available after the item is PAID IN FULL.

On all RVs especially older models there is almost always a place or two of delamation.

If you can not send a deposit within 24 hours please do not bid.

If you can not pay the final balance within 5 business days, please do NOT bid.

If you do NOT pay the Deposit within 24 hours we reserve the right to NOT sell the item.

If you do NOT pay the full amount within 5 days we reserve the right to NOT sell the item and keep the $500 deposit.

As far as the deposit and final payment I do offer a couple of different options. Pay the $500 deposit within 24 hours via Paypal or send me a confirmation # from FedEx or similar for a cashiers check within 24 hours and you will have 5 days to pay the balance.

I do offer a $100 discount off of the winning bid price AFTER the $295 Doc Fee is paid. In order to receive the $100 discount, the entire balance must be paid within 48 hours of the end of the auction.

Full payment is due within 5 days period. If you do not pay within the 5 days we do reserve the right to NOT sell the unit to you.

I will NOT hand over my title until your funds have cleared my account, 5 business days. So, if you arrive to pickup your new item and you do NOT bring cash or do a bank wire transfer then I hold the title till your funds clear MY bank. If you want to leave with your title then bring cash or do a bank transfer which usually takes 2 – 3 hours.

Odometer Mile: Please be aware that FEDERAL LAW says that ALL motorhome sales of vehicles that are over 16,000 lbs are considered MILES EXEMPT. This means that the miles that read on the odometer are not guaranteed. This is NOT my rule or my method. I have nothing to do with this law. THIS IS FEDERAL LAW. What it does mean is that while the miles shown are NORMALLY correct, I do NOT guarantee it. How could I possibly know the complete history of a 10-15 year old vehicle that I have only owned for very short time? On vehicles 10 years old or older the titles can be labeled exempt for miles.

A large percentage of the time the older RVs have an exhaust leak.

After you have inspected the coach and all is well, we can go for a test drive.
